Wouldn't painting be better? Non- reversible yes but black vinyl tends to scratch and look bad after a few months.... And not that much cheaper....

The vinyl I put on the A-Pilars and rear window garnish have lasted a good year and haven't scratched at all.
If it is installed well and you use good vinyl (3M 1080 Scotchprint, HEXIS, AVERY) you will get what you pay for - longevity and reversibility

Hmmm. Over here, a wrap vs. painting would be about 150 bucks' difference... Maybe they charge too much for painting in the States. (both shops I asked are top shops specializing in Lamborghini/ferarri/etc)
