Anyone wrap their Evora roof? pics? - LotusTalk

I just picked up a 2011 evora and I am thinking about blacking out the roof, ether matte for glossy black. Anyone done anything similar?

Do it in gloss black. It gives the car a much better look. You can find pictures all over the pictures thread.

I have 75% blacked out in matte.

ramtin was able to get his done in a gloss black metallic that went perfect with his solar yellow because of the flake/metallic look to it.

I got a estimate of $225 today for the wrap, I will post pics if I get it done

Wouldn't painting be better? Non- reversible yes but black vinyl tends to scratch and look bad after a few months.... And not that much cheaper....

The vinyl I put on the A-Pilars and rear window garnish have lasted a good year and haven't scratched at all.

If it is installed well and you use good vinyl (3M 1080 Scotchprint, HEXIS, AVERY) you will get what you pay for - longevity and reversibility

Hmmm. Over here, a wrap vs. painting would be about 150 bucks' difference... Maybe they charge too much for painting in the States. (both shops I asked are top shops specializing in Lamborghini/ferarri/etc)
