Hints of better things to come for Evora and Evora S owners. BOE has produced me a great Cold Air Intake system for the Evora S and is modifing to the NA version of the car.
2.5% power and torque gains at 6450 rpm, gains start at 5600 and grow to Redline, no losses along curve, stable air flow ratios. System cuts weight out of tail and offers true cold air draw direct from body scope as per OEM and offers easier access and maintenance of filter element.
Quote from Phil at BOE:"Feeling very good about the car. It drives nice. Throttle response is very crisp and it's VERY eager to rev on tip in!"
Power plots
i) White curve - Komo-Tec Header, Komo-Tec 200 cell Cat, BOE Kold-fire custom tune
ii) Blue curve - (i) + BOE CAI
Would there be a change in exhaust note.
After all the air has to be mixed and processed by the engine and then go throug the headers, cats, and silencers.
Intake note yes, not so sure about exhaust note
Maybe if you are getting more air in you will get a change in exhaust note. this post may make it apparent that I have very little mechanical aptitude. :thwack:
Just a heads up, they're done, instructions done, and we shipped a few before leaving for SEMA last week and busy getting caught up from the week out of the shop this week. There's a list of folks who have been cool and kindly waiting for months that we're touching base with first and then................... :coolnana:

**As you know Lotus did a fine job of providing us with an air inlet on the bodywork. We reuse that factory inlet which ensures that we're getting true ambient temp air into the system...
**As discussed in the first page of this thread, the MAF tube design is calibrated just as the factory part is so that i will work on stock or aftermarket tunes without worrying about recalibrating the MAF tables.
**The filter is a foam ITG element. Foam elements filter extremely well and flow better when "dirty" than cloth or OE filters.
**This intake has been raced in LCS and has been installed in both supercharged and NA variants with no ill effects.
Cheers,
Phil
Edit: Might mention that I'm proud of the recent addition to my signature line... can you spot it?
Much of the Lotus OE contraption is to reduce induction noise... The induction noise is going to be considerably more noticeable with a CAI. Most would appreciate musical motor notes, but I guess Lotus does not
Pricing for the S will be a bit cheaper than the NA cars, as the NA kits use a bespoke formed silicone induction cone with a PCV provision that we had made up. The S reuses the OE part for that section....
phil this is earl are you not getting my messages tried with no answer been telling you that I wanted one threw Robert and Andrew for months I got your tune with on prob. can you let my know what is going on thanks
