I think i've found the one thing i dislike about that car. In the Flickr set there is a shot where you can see the peddles. The brake and clutch look very nice, but the gas peddle looks like a scrap of metal just screwed on. I noticed this on an 07 Exige i was in as well. It looks like they wanted to make the peddle bigger than the very skinny one in the 05, so just attached a larger rectangle of aluminum without trying to make it look right.

Other than that, gorgeous car.

Awesome! I didn't know the car was that far along. I thought it was still in the development stages. It looks great, especially the back. So the car should be out for 010 right?

But I'm tired to see it in silver color....

Need to see this car with a color with more punch..

You can see it pretty well in this pic that is in the Flickr set. Doesn't look high at all.

I was at norm baker of Las Vegas the first week of September and was told that the Evora will be ready in summer 2009 and that the new Esprit will be available in 2012; that the Esprit will be extremely modern. probably means that the instruction manual will be heavy and will take months to master. MSRP to be in the mid 70 k

Thanks for sharing. That interior is much nicer in my Elise. Great job updating. I'm loving the infotainment screen.

Agreed. Without a strong B pillar to anchor it visually the top just floats there like a bad toupee. I Photoshopped a couple of variations, which made me appreciate the designers' dilemma: providing visibility and headroom for the backseat passengers in the limited space dictated by the mid engine layout. A larger B pillar requires lengthening the car or reducing the rear side windows. Because kids are the only people likely to spend much time back there I opted for reducing window size. Who needs windows when you've got videogames.

Improvement or no? (the first photo is the real Evora)

...from the cockpit back, i think the evora looks fantastic, but the nose strikes me as utterly forgettable and lets down an otherwise striking design - if i were the project manager, i'd send the designers back and tell them to try harder...

...it just looks like they phoned in the front of the car; blantantly uninspired...

Went to the 60th party yesterday, and I have to say the Evora looks great.
Great day out, too!

I agree with you but I'm afraid it's a little too late for that.

The last one. The back window going over far enough to touch the side window and making that point does look really bad. Another option...

Trust me, in person the crossover between the rear glass and passenger window works. It looks fresh and defines the rear flanks nicely. When you're standing next to the car, you're looking down on the flanks, and without the glass there it would end up as a big old expanse of bodywork. With the Evora being relatively low, you are very rarely going to get an external view when you're as low down as the driver and side on. If the roof still bugs you, the darker colours look good on the car too, but with the complex curves of the flanks, metallics look very much better than block colours.

To me, the alternative pictures above make the roof look clumsy and oppressive - like a clamp on the driver.
