Evora at Petit LeMans

We were at the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta today, strolling down the venders gallery, and came across this:

I have to tell you, this car looks way better in person than any image I've seen.

I found it especially beautiful from the 3/4 rear view. Extremely sleek and artistic.

The interior was so plush by what we are used to.

This car does not make me think "Track!", even though the potential is there.
It was much more of a "Car!" sort of impression. Ride over to the club, pick up your date, head to the beach.
People do not look at it and say "I can't believe how small your car is!" The size is just right. A Lotus for sure, but not tiny.
I can see this as a real challenger to the standard sports cars, P-cars and Vettes.

At least for those of true character.

Same car that was in SF. Evora in San Francisco and I agree, pictures do not do it justice.

I have to agree. I looked at the car yesterday afternoon at the track too. It looks SO much better in person. The styling is a bit different but I like it.

Agree. It looks more production; less handbuilt than the Elise or Exige, especially the interior.

I agree the car looked much, much better in person. Though I will still hold out
for a new Esprit.

In the first picture the gentlemen in the black coat and tan hat standing behind it is Kevin Smith from LCU. A very nice guy, the same one the introduced the Evora at LOG 29.

The drive home in the massive downpour washed most of the muck off.

I was at the race as well and stopped to ponder this Evora for a while. It is larger than I had imagined, but as noted above it seems more of a "typical" size than the wearable Elise/Exige.

It is quite nice. It's not a show-stopping beauty, but it does seem like a proper Lotus when you see it in the metal.

I saw your car there as well, but I didn't know if you were a forum member or not. Congrats on making it back out of that clay-pit!

Uggh! Beautiful exterior, but that dash looks Buick or something GM from the 80s. Hope it looks better in person, those instrument bezels are not appealing at all.

I saw your very blue Esprit parked in the (ahem..) Mazda corral for awhile, and also Mick's 265 out behind the vendor area. The mud sucked - trashcanned my shoes and sox when I got home. Still, it was a good weekend of racing until ~ 4PM Saturday.

@ned the irony is that the Evora was parked in front of mazdas. LOL

The guys in the Mazda corral were nice enough to let me park there
we were down in the Panoz tent so it was the closest place to park.
