Having seen the Evora up close and sat in her. The design is much more refined than our old Buzzers. Must wait for the drive feedback. This is not just about looking spiffy rolling about the hood.

Love that her transmission is from a diesel-propelled Toyota.

Man, I'll still wait (if I can) for the blown variant, but it's growing on me again (I yanked my deposit after reading the initial specs)...

The reviews seem to universally praise it

I knew there was a reason I sold my Elise (money!). Hopefully, the restaurants will be doing well, I really, REALLY, want this car.

I am very interested but I sure won't buy a new one - let someone else take the inevitable initial depreciation hit.

Hopefully the stock ECU will support modification better.

August Automobile mag - cover story on the Evora....decent review..."Body control is stellar, rattles are nonexistent, and steering is little compromised by the Evora's sissified mission"

as much as I want the car to succeed I just dont see them luring too many Porsche customers unless they improve their dealer/service network

Volume-wise they don't need to lure too many Porsche customers. They just need to lure a small percentage of them.

I think with the extremely low worldwide volume, they won't have to lure any porsche owners to convert. This will likely be appealing to people that might be in the market for a more expensive GT (such as a porsche) but want something people don't see every day. Let's face it, there aren't many choices out there to fill the void.

I think they've done a terrific job at it honestly, and I'll likely end up grabbing one instead of a baby Aston (Vantage V8) once they become available... even though the Aston is clearly the more refined/better car. I hope by the time they release a SC model they've ironed out some of the kinks though - this car has great potential!

Some of The Crazy Rabid wanting to feel "special" again like when they first bought their Buzzers... and the inevitable wave of Looky@Me types that always appear with the introduction of every new sports car.

My wife sold her Elise California and looks forward to purchasing the Evora. However, she's waiting for the 2011 Evora Convertable without the rear seats... It should be a slick looking car with the top down...

Waiting for boost after getting addicted to the sound and feel of an SC there's no turning back. Might just have to get one still and take the giant hit cause I just can't resist.
