Fun Events

hello all...we will be doing 2 fun events with the evora in the next 2 weeks...festivals of speed, a first class show, this sunday at the ritz carlton in orlando florida...we are bringing (hopefully) 3 of the cars including the lotus and i will post a pic after the event...the second is the exotic car rally in south florida to benefit toys for tots..they expect almost 200 cars ferraris,lotus,aston,lambo etc...i love this time of year in florida...high season for car events

Nice Evora and Coupe GT. I had a 2003 Red 6MT for about 4 years. Loved the sound and power,hated the repair bills.

Thanks Lynn, At one time I had all Italian cars. 4 Alfa's and one Ferrari. And now they are all brithish. I guess things go in cycles.

A friend who is going on the rally used to have a Jalpa. Wonder if it was his former car.

XXXotic,I will be in the yellow evora so come and find me!!! we are staying at the hotel the night before to save the early morning drive down....yes, I bought the jalpa almost 5 years ago from a high end dealer in naples florida...

Plack, the rally is so large they keep sending me emails requesting if we changed our mind to let them know asap...they have a large waiting list of people who couldn't get in...over 200 cars ( I heard closer to 250) driving through ft lauderdale...interim stop at the ferrari dealer and ending up at the seminole hard rock casino...hope to fill up 3 marine corp trucks with toys...should be great fun..my wife had a blast shopping at the toy store today..neither of us have done that in years!!

Very cool. I see you have a Jalpa - very underrated car. I'm not sure how they fair mechanically or performance wise, but I think they are very sharp.

There's a local 'car show' guy that brings a different toy every show. He's got a Pantera, a SPF Gt40 with the Roush set up, a '73' 'Chairs and Flairs' Ferrari Dino (my dream car) and a '68 Lambo Espada AND he just bought a beautiful blue Lambo Urraco off of another guy who would always bring THAT car to the shows!

Not his actual car, but looks just like this - black with the wing. To me, they look soooo Maserati - remind me of the Guigaro styles Mas of the 70's - Merak, Bora

swinglo..the jalpa is pretty over engineered and trouble free..much more sturdy than my ferrari and more thoughtful too (timing chain versus timing belts)...great forum support..real downside is parts are almost non existent..MUCH worse than F cars...only 400 or so made over all the years so not really viable for anyone to make parts anymore and turn a profit..i attached a few shots as you requested..

My friend who will be at the toy run with his grey Elise has a brother that used to work for Lambo in South America and I think that is how he knew about the car back then. His brother probably can answer any mechanical questions you might have on it. I also think he designed an engine part that Lotus wound up using in the Esprit.
