Let's build a perfect Evora!

Well, we ( Lotus St. Louis ) should be able to place our first Evora order in August - Can you believe it's August already ?!

Anyway, who better than actual Lotus fanciers to help spec it out?

I am thinking Aspen White with Paprika interior or Ardent Red with Chestnut.

I am basing those choices on what may be more easily recognizable as they seem to have been the press car colors and we plan on getting our first demo Evora out and about as much as possible ( I have volunteered the task of driving the wheels of it ,in, the interest of promoting the brand you understand ! )

I put the official U.S Evora specs, colors and options up some time ago..If anyone can repost that link it would be great as a reference.

The must have cost options that I want ( besides colors) are ;

1. Stealth Grey cast alloy wheels (18" front and 19" rear)
2. Bi-Xenon headlights with headlight washing system
3. Body colored door handles
4.Sport Pack ( INCLUDES )
Switchable sports mode featuring:
• Enhanced Throttle response and RPM limit
• Sports traction control mode with increased yaw and slip
thresholds
• Sports diffuser
• Titanium sports exhaust tailpipe
• Cross-drilled brake discs
• Black painted brake calipers
• Engine oil cooler

5.Sports ratio 6-speed manual transmission - Yay...There is no automatic on the official US order guide...Sorry all you hairdressers out there, you'll have to get the Porsche Gayman if you want a slush-o-matic ! ....Not that there's anything wrong with being a hairdresser....

We Cool ?

P.S : If anyone knows how to make this a poll let me know as I am computer challenged. Someone was kind enough to do that for me when I did the same thing for our first 260 Sport. Which, indeed, found a home thanks to a Lotustalk member like you!

Cheers, Adrian.

I would look over at the evora forum Evora Forum (Powered by Invision Power Board) as lots of colour combinations posted on their and customer cars should be out soon

Yep Down the road, I guess...

I'd stick with Aspen White, as the red I saw in Denver didn't accent the body lines that well (it became sort of monolithic). The black one looked stellar, so black might also be a popular color choice.

A back-up camera is a must. So says my wifey when she sat in it and said "What am I looking at in the rear view mirror?"

I vote for an exterior color of Starlight Black, with interior of chestnut!

I bet CO gets the most votes though.

Based on the reviews, I would recommend staying away from the light colour interiors. They seem to cause glare. Go with white exterior, black interior, sport, no back seats.

I can make it a poll, but I'm not sure what the questions should be.

^^^Thanks Mr.Know !

Basically Exterior and Interior Colors

We'll spec it out with the cost options I list in the first post ( numbered 1 through 5 ) ,unless, a majority of LT members have an opinion otherwise.

Cheers and Thanks again.

There are 21 exterior colors already, and a poll may have only 20 options. If you would like interior and exterior choices, the exterior paint color choices need to be pared down a bit to make it work.

Oooops ! Retraction !

Not that too many will care on these boards, however, I was corrected by my Lotus Marketing executive regarding the Evora's availability with an automatic transmission.

Cut and pasted from an official Lotus e-mail I got;

"We will be getting an automatic… current plan calls for about 6 months after initial release"

Sorry about that.

And, Hey ! Welcome to the all the newly eligible male stylist Evora prospects out there !

Try not to cry too hard when one passes you on a test drive.

Anyway, Isotope Green.
