Roger Becker needs to visit one or two of the drift series events and show off a Lotus. It would be great to see a Lotus smoking the ricers.

The Evora also won Car of the Year from them.

Way to go Lotus!

That was a nice review. Thanks for sharing!

It was interesting to hear that there's a softtop convertible version coming out in the future.

He said the convertible will be released in 6 years after the current car's designed 6-year life cycle. I hope that was a misstatement. He also said the convertible is already pretty far along. Other sources have said that the convertible will be available in about 2 years. That seems more reasonable.

Maybe it depends on the demand. Probably not much incentive to releae a convertible if they're all sold out and not planning on upping production.

The only good thing about the review was being able to hear the car. The rest was something I could have done with no experience. I think they let Lotus off too easy. I look forward to a review by Top Gear and Evo.

+1 to this... When's the vert coming?

And the magazine reviewer said it felt very fast... I wonder how fast it really is.

My understanding was the convertible would be here around year 2-3. I suppose Lotus will play it by ear and see how the economy/ demand goes.

As far as fast, I know the car is quicker than the Elise and is also faster. How much has yet to be officially disclosed.

I'm sure you've all seen articles like these from August.

Autocar - Lotus confirms Evora convertible

lotus evora convertible - Autoblog

I haven't heard anything since then other than the video, but these articles make sense to me.

WANT!

I wasn't convinced when the first shots of the Evora came out, but every time I see it it gets better and better looking. The video just sealed the deal for me. I want one now.

Since BWR already knows the engine being used and supercharger kits are already available for this engine, I'd expect a few weeks.
