Radium CAI Issue

Hello Evora Community,

I need to find out if we have anybody out there that has experienced issues with the Radium CAI or having warranty issues due to problems caused by this system. Please PM me directly and don't leave any bad comments in here. This is not a product evaluation post so if you're product is working well and you're happy about it no need to make this a post about how great the product is. Just trying to find out if anybody else has experiences any issues that we can talk about in private.

I had zero problems with the CAI..... In fact they used my car for development.
None of the warranty issues with my car were due to the Radium part,my pcv problems were prior to any radium products used on my car.

I think it's easy to blame a vendor part on the loss of your engine but you were the one who made the choice to modify your car not Radium, and if you are planning to file a law suit you should really take that into consideration........they didn't make you put their product on your car you did it willingly.

creaturekris : I really think you need to stay our of this. If you are happy with your product then i'm glad you are. Whatever Action i decide to take or do is none of your business. As I first posted on this forum this is not an intent to trash a product. I'm simply trying to gather info. Please do not post on this anymore.I respect you as an individual who has been involved on the making of this product and I have nothing against you or radium. There is a problem that needs to be identified and addressed. You are not part of radium and I don't think they appreciate you speak on their behalf so please stay out of it. Unless you are affiliated with them and you can announce that here. Once that's cleared I will decide to include you in this subject or not.

First off, I've been watching these threads with a lot of interest because I was planning on getting the Radium CAI on Black Friday (20% off you know). I even contacted Radium begging for a Black Friday Sale and pestered them if I could get the 20% yesterday. I was also planning on getting a tune and Larini in the near future too.

That said, I disagree that the risk is with the owner when he modifies a car. If you pull a Camry intake, tinker with it and stick it on your Evora and it blows the engine the risk is yours. However, if a aftermarket tuners sells a CAI and tells me it makes power because the stock air box is overly restrictive, but power actually coming from tricking the ECU from thinking the fuel curve is lean, that's a different story. That is misleading and if my car suffered damage based on a defective or misrepresentation of the product, then the vendor should be liable IF IT CAN BE PROVEN.

So, at this point, I'm really close to just saying screw the whole thing and wait for Lotus to release an retro-supercharger kit - or sell my Evora for an S in two years. 30hp-40 isn't going to make my Evora a Carrera S killer.

I drove the Radium more than 7000 Miles now. Perfect. What is that all about? The Car is perfect with it; my warrantytime is over anyway. Who likes it put it in, who does not, leaves it in the store. Live can be so simple.

I suspect you will have a very, very long wait for a Lotus sourced SC kit for NA cars .

Anubis : Life will be very simple if you have no problems. I'm getting emails from people who's warranty on multiple parts have been void by lotus due to CAI issues. If you're one the lucky ones that haven't had any issues does not make other's problems go away or their problem to deal with.
