Its colored edge trim, you know the rounded off automotive plastic that is used on hard edges, similar to what is around the edges of the stock diffuser. I've thought about doing this too, looks great on this Evora.

If you plastic dip the while car may catch fire Lol, I say door trim is the best except for one catch, if too close to the exhaust like the picture it will melt in the areas closest to the exhaust because of the extreme heat generated even if not touching!!

Red border on Difflow diffuser, painted or tape...?

A local car had one and I had the chance to observe it up close. It was hard and felt like paint but the edges were so clean that it could not have been painted....but it didnt have a rubbery feel that a sticker would. The owner didn't know either.

Maybe Difflow makes this particular style...?

Well I don't personally like the look of that. Each to our own.

There is a plate in my neck of the woods that my wife and I were surprised to see get through ... "REDHTSX" - it was a red mid-90's Nissan (or something just as boring), but what a plate to get allowed!
