Engine tuners I need advices.....
I have BWR with CharlieX. So far I like it.
however, due to family issue, I am moving to China next year. I decide to bring my love with me, then there is a problem. There is only 87.8 octane there and octane booster is very hard find and very expensive as well. I was thinking to install a standalone ecu, but it is way over budget. What do you suggest me to do? I just want the car to be running with chinese octane and still perform as much as it could. Advices needed please...

You could try a water / methanol injection kit... however, if Hong Kong is any indication, it may be difficult to procure methanol in mainland China.

unfortunately you can't have both lower octane and power, it's either one or the other.
we could do a custom tune with the same octane, the usa has plenty of bad octane petrol available.

I dont need the top performance as the one I have now... at least running with no poprock noise... How can I get the custom tune? should I tune with a tank of arcos 87 octane? Thanks for the help...

yeah setup a dyno day with me and put the worst octane you can find in the car, make sure all the 91 is gone first though, i'd put at least a tank and a half of low octane before we hit the dyno, just don't bang on it.
i'm pretty busy dyno wise for the next few weeks though, which gives me a good opportunity to say mr slaughter if you read this give me a call, cheers
