Gotham dead Charlie help

It looks like Carl is sorry for whatever he did and willing to pay for his mistake so Charlie maybe you should just fix it for him. Its always better to have another friend than enemy .

The problem is that carl is saying one thing publically, and another privately, look at the title of the thread for instance it says 'dead gotham' which is going to mislead people into thinking there is a problem with my stuff, which just isn't the case, carl has contacted me offline a few times about it, so he already knows the score, he's posted this before too, so its nothing new, the 'sorry' part only appears on these messages which are nothing more than trying to leverage me with bad publicity, even though i did nothing wrong and it was a freebie, the problem only occured when he had someone else overwrite his spare ecu the gotham was on with the wrong program .

for me this is better in some ways since it allows people to understand what happened and its not gotham related, then when he says that again either publically or privately i can just point them here.

I'm not the crispest chip in the bag, but this seems to be a private matter, and not one that needs to play out in a public forum. No?

When I had an issue with a dealer, I just called them on it... why drag it into a public forum? what's the rationale for this? I dont know either of the parties here...just observing.

What if he printed a full and PUBLIC retraction? Admitted whatever his earlier sins may have been? Completely, and unequivocally? From what I am reading, it sounds like Charlie - that you are upset because it is your impression that initially this OP may have "tried to pull a fast one on you"; and if so, your ire is rightfully so.

Carl - would you be willing to do this? If this is the case, then clearly it is incumbent upon YOU to now make this right. No if's and's or but's. Even if Charlie does NOT still agree to do further business with you.

I can see his point (if his assertions are fact - and I know NEITHER of you at all BTW - just for the record). I am just a casual outside reader.

Post 1st in fact here, if all this IS the case - unconditionally, then - let the chips fall where they may (and go from there). From what I've read of all this (so far) you continue to at best - "hedge your bets". Time to cut that out. From either side that this is coming from! JMHO is all. No more that you've been "willing to pay for this since day one" if that was not (as it at least seems it may not have been) the case. Again - admit to the total and COMPLETE err of your ways (if Charlie's assertions are accurate) - publicly - without the "hedging"... and stop the deflection!

Maybe - JUST MAYBE Charlie will agree to do biz with you once again if you say your Mea Culpa's - COMPLETELY, and UNEQUIVOCALLY, and further: CONSISTENTLY (not one way in one foru, and another entirely in another) IF how I am interpreting this is correct - maybe THIS can help?

Again - JMO, from my impressions of what I read here - as a completely DISINTERESTED 3rd party.

I originally didn't want to get someone in trouble for trying another flash. So I said the dealer did a reflash as a mistake. I explained that and said in several emails and on the phone that I was sorry and willing to pay to have it fixed and it was my fault. what else can I do??? the reason I posted is there were no replies to any of my messages and Charlies VM is full. carl

If you have the dealer deliberately overwrite the gotham tune with the wrong series of car then it doesn't start*, you should go on elisetalk and start a thread called 'gotham dead', even after we've already had this same discussion here before.


* which will happen on any of the cars, its not gotham related, its part of Lotus's protection, look at Ara's car who suffered the exact same problem.

Charlie, I didn't mean to offend you with the title of the post. How about if I change it to "I screwed up my gothham tune Charlie please fix it" In another post you said that if this happened to any one you would repair it for $50 in freight how about if I give you five times that= $250 and I'll pay the freight both ways.I really want to get it fixed and move on. Your not a bad guy this whole thing has gotten way over blown. thanks carl
