I believe all the '05's are regular throtle cable, and the '06's started the DBW in the US spec cars.

If you are intent on deleting the DBW (not sure why you'd want to) you'll need to reflash the Ecu and potentially replace the dash.

Sounds like he has a 1zz non-federal Elise, does it have DBW to begin with, or is the OP looking for OEM replacement parts?

DBW is NOT slow to respond.
Something else is broken.

my elise is a year 2008 elise s running the 1zz.

and i have brought a vipec44 which dun have a DBW.

from past exp,the DBW sucks in the honda dc5.

not sure abt the lotus, but since i would enlarge the throttle and turbo charge it,and wif the wrong ecu tot of goin the mech way.

sorry to say, you should have got the vipec v88.

i'm running a v88 on my 1zz powered elise S and have supercharged with a rotrex.

dbw is all taken care of with the v88. i'm not using the stock ecu for anything now ...

As mentioned the 05 Toyota powered Elise has a cable throttle - but it has a completely different pedal box to the 06+ DBW cars. You won't be able to simply replace the accelerator pedal.

Aedo-do you know how much the whole pedal box with cable will cost?

if its too much will trade the 44 in to 88....

thanks everyone for the inputs.

I don't know but give Bell & Colvill a call Bell & Colvill Contact Us or drop them an email. Not sure if the 05 pedal box will work with the 06+ brakes though (but the 05 pedals are lovely extruded items rather than the boring pressed metal ones you have )
