Need help bypassing Xede

So I have the plug to bypass the Xede but it appears the connectors don't match. Maybe I'm overlooking something. Does anyone else have a different bypass plug?

Here's the Xede with open connector (this is where I'm suppose to plug in the bypass, right?)


Here's the bypass connector:


And here's how they don't fit:


So... do I have the wrong connector, am I putting it in the wrong place, or am I just an idiot?

Pull the plug on the Xede, then put the bypass on the wire harness plug and the Xede on the shelf. The second connector on the Xede is not used.
