question: DL1 Datalogger interface to ecu
Is anyone using a dl1 datalogger from race-technology interface to the lotus ecu. If so how did you connect in? They have can bios on there website but what information can you get from the ECU? Could you tune from the information or is it to slow. Is the information to slow to use a dash display from this company.
Thanks anyone for any input. |

You can get either CAN, OBDii or both depending on what you purchase and what year your car is.
Doubt that you can tune from the obdii, it is too slow. However, you can't tune your lotus ecu unless you work out the encryption or work with someone that has already worked it out.

all the can bus on the 05 does is spit out the information you see in the cluster (less a few of the indicators), its easy to parse and is documented on here. but you'd need racetech to build a parser for it and have 1Mbps can support.
there isn't really any information in the can data thats useful for tuning anyway.
