wrong battery connection, pls help!
tried to jump start my battery today and got confused, connected the + to the - terminal. car idled well but when i ran the car even if ti is at 180+ temp car is cutting off at 6000 rpm. is it possible that i damage the ecu? pls. help! thanx

Is the check engine light on? Sometimes it takes three run cycles (starting and turning off the engine/ignition) to clear faults. Try that and see if it clears your problem. Connecting the jumper cables backward shouldn't hurt the ECU. Other stuff maybe, but not the ECU.

Hi Toysport,
Don't feel bad, I did it, too. Check this thread: Hooked up battery tender wrong. Now CEL I fixed it by changing out 1 fuse. And send CharlieX a big thank you. Steve
