That is nice, what compression does it use (H.264)? Does it support more than 4GB.

Uncompressed 1080p 24 will fill a 16GB P2 card in 8 minutes!!

Considering the price, very impressive!!

The demo has folks base jumping and I think those guys hit about 120 mph? Not sure what you mean by "underwater" effect, can you provide a sample?

Yes, It does use H.264. You can use a max of 32GB.

That looks like Fontana

. I believe that is some form of image stabilization doing that -- I typically turn that OFF for auto racing as the motion is far too rapid for most consumer grade image stabilization features to work effectively.

Hopefully this is an option we can turn OFF on the Hero HD?

I get the same type of "effect" with my iPhone when I move it too rapidly and I know it uses image stabilization.

It is not image stabilization. It is called a rolling shutter effect from a slower shutter speed on the CMOS imager not being able to keep up. GoPro seems to have improved this problem on their non-HD camera, it is much better than it used to be.

It is not really bad, but it still exists to some extent in the new product. We have samples of the video that were done at a recent race. With that said, I will now back out of this thread since it competes with my company.
