Pretty cool, the package only weighs in at 14 pounds more than the stock setup. Bad news is the cost $19,500 plus any options and shipping the car to them.

5 Speed VS 6 Speed
We opted for the GetRag F35 five-speed transmission over the Toyota 6 speed simply b/c it can handle the added power reliably and comes integrated with the Ecotec 2.0L supercharged engine.
Also, the shift linkage is much more positive and precise compared to the Toyota unit

Just genuinely curious....
- Are you keeping the A/C with a dry sump? - Are you upgrading cooling? - ECU? Motec? Other? - What's going on with the rear wheels/tires on the silver build car? Looks very well sorted at first pass.

A: The Type II will have a dry sump and we are retaining the A/C - Are you upgrading cooling? A: Cooling has been upgraded - ECU? Motec? Other? A: We are using the GM Ecotec ECU but have modified it and adapted to work with the Lotus - so no engine lights come on and everything works - What's going on with the rear wheels/tires on the silver build car? A: Not sure what you mean.. Looks very well sorted at first pass A: Thanks - we're serious about our company and products. We are not a bunch of kids in a garage

Thanks for the answers!
As to the comment regarding the rear tires/wheels: In the first and fourth photo in the Road & Track gallery it appears that the driver side rear tire is sticking out pretty far relative to the clam and would make contact under compression. In the third photo, the passenger side rear looks like it would clear though.

This looks good. The fact you are backing it with a warranty means you're for real.Is this the same engine used in the current Europa? I'll be saving my pennies for you guys. I don't think this can be beat.

i beleive its the same engine in the Chevy Cobalt? also used on the US version Atoms
if the type 1 is a full conversion and will run as good or better than "stock trim" it sounds like a pretty good price then again if you are comming from an elise why not just trade in to an exige S 220hp + gotham 265 tune? i guess the advantage would be in TQ rather than HP!

It certainly does run much better that stock. 280 HP is one thing but 241 lb-ft of torque at 4500 RPM does wonders in daily driving or on the track.

The Europa GT uses a Vauxhall/ Opel based 2.0L turbo which is simular to the engine used in the Solstice/ Sky and Opel GT
