New TWRD GT3-RR widebody

Thought you guys might be interested in what's going on at TWRD. This is our new GT3-RR widebody rear clam kit. Perfect for Elises or those that have Exiges that no longer need/want the intercooler scoop on the top.

If they were engine mounts or an oil pan or something she couldn't see, I'd be all over it right now. I think she'd notice the wide body and the new aero kit that i'd have to put on it.....

Tell her the wing just makes it look wider.

Nice work!!!!

So will this widebody rear clam fit on an Elise with its stock engine lid?

Can you get it without the side scoops?

Is it any lighter than the stock piece?

No you need to use a lid from us. The OEM Elise engine lid is very different. But unlike previous widebody clams the bump above the rollbar has been removed, so you can use your OEM Elise hardtop/soft-top, add our much lighter carbon fiber Elise hardtop.

Can you get it without the side scoops?
I'll ask

Is it any lighter than the stock piece?

No. the Elise clams are composite injected and are very light and thin. This is fiberglass much like the Exige rear clam.

spacers for OEM wheels

Someone just asked me about spacers if they don't want to go with custom made wheels. Here are the optional 30mm spacers that we can get for you.

Notice the steel reinforced threads

Wow - great stuff
I have a question about the spacers, Is that spacer designed so the OEM lug sits in those holes? I have never used spacers just curious! It seems there is little material left where the spacer meets the hub! Am I being paranoid it looks like a failure point.

Yes, made for the OEM lugs. I couldn't get a measuring instrument into the hole, but the approx. distance the lug sits from the hub is 1/8 of an inch. You also have the entire surface area of the cone of the lugs in contact with the spacer.

I've seen spacers like this used on many many track cars and have used them myself, on and off for years, with no problems!
