Neato... How's the boot look? Is the clam fully "functional"?

Thx,

Phil

Hmmm from anyone else I would assume you mean; does it have a full OEM style trunk (which I would say yes)? But from you Phil I'm not sure LOL. It doesn't hinge open like yours does, if that's what you mean.

oh my... I might be VERY interested once pricing is available for this.. it looks amazing! Do you happen to have any more shots of the entire car with this rear add-on though? The front would look a bit weird unless you went with wide front fenders, no?

hehe- Ya, was curious if the trunk was intact. My car doubles as a truck when going to the close tracks, so I need a good boot Don't worry, I can make that big clam of yours tilt too

What can I say, it's the off season and I'm in build mode for next year Who knows, a clam like yours may be a nice addition for 2010...

I'll ask for more, but this is a car with one of our widebody rear clams. I don't think it looks weird at all. (see pic below)

***note CF pieces on this car are from APR and not from TWRD***

Jacob,
How wide can you go with the tires out back with this clam?

How much more weight does it add than the stock?

Does it come with all necessary hardware for installation?

I'm trying to figure out how to get this rear clam along with the front clam you guys sell for the elise ......

The spacer on RMotorsports car above are 30mm and he thinks he could go another 10-15mm.

I've asked the weight and will get back to you guys as soon as I've received the info. But it will be more than your Elise clam.

Does it come with all necessary hardware for installation?
I don't think it comes with screws if that's what you mean. Just the clam. It does not come with the shock tower boot lid holder-upper thing (OEM product name) or third light. It an come with the hinge (I like the OEM hinge myself), locks and seals (all optional). We're making these optional since Exige owners won't need them.

I'm trying to figure out how to get this rear clam along with the front clam you guys sell for the elise ......

Does the carbon oval come in the standard width (for the Exige) also or can they only do one for the wide body?

I'm pretty sure the width is the same (I'll check), but how you would attach it to an OEM clam would be up to you to figure out.

+1 on just the carbon oval... a good body shop can cut/mold/attach it to an existing Elise clam... Oh to finally lose those silly taillight grill things!

Is this wide body rear clam going to be available in carbon, along with a carbon lid? Also, would I be able to install an exige rear spoiler to this rear clam? I see there's no intrusion for an oem exige wing to be installed.

For the white exige pictured above, are the wheels spacers just in the back, or also in the front? Stupid question, but if I add spacers, will that sacrifice the performance of the car? I'm illiterate to the spacer mod.

I'd love to see a replacement clam that:
* has a full trunk size lid (not the tiny access hole we have now)
* better engine access without having to remove the whole thing

I'm surprised there aren't replacements that don't come in 4 pieces (for example: back, trunk lid, left side access, right side access, or something like that). Seems like that would allow for easier access, and cheaper replacement.

Or even something like the M250 rear clam:

Just heard back that unfortunately the carbon oval is not made separately, but molded in the clam. To make the insert separately I would need a 20 piece group buy. I don't think that'll happen. Sorry.

We could make a CF clam and lid. I'l check to see if we can make it with a intrusion for the OEM wing. Personally I think the OEM wing will look too small with the addition width of the wide body.

Wheel spacers are just in the back. The white car has an OEM clam in the front. It'll certainly change the cars handling character, but remember the Cadena Lotus sport car had flairs

Well you can put me down for one if they are going to make it separately

Anyone else?
