I had been considering these wheels in conjunction with the Nitron Pros (because Frank [Ronin] said these dampers are the way to go when I spoke to him) as upgrades once I get my car. I would rather spend my money on mods that will clearly assist acceleration and handling at lower speeds than on the aero CF stuff that works better as the speeds pick up, since I do not plan on any track time.
I had these wheels with Nitrons SA and they were awesome.
For me, the price of these wheels was justified. Yes, you will notice the difference after switching to RACs. Though some of my joy was due to different tires on new wheels also.
Anyway - these wheels are VERY easy to sell. So give it a shot.

yak52pilot - Excellent, thanks! The price doesn't bother me, not that they are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for and it seems like one of the best places to remove weight is right there, and the fact they have a one inch (now on the '08s) advantage in rim width up front should help with any understeer I want to dial out. When I am ready to sell the car, they come off and go separately anyway, as you said. Now I need to figure out if the stock A048's are the correct size or if I need something different. Time to search......

RHT3 - Dude, if you think these wheels are expensive, you would absolutely die if you knew how much cyclists spend to shave off 200 grams. A good CF bike frame/fork ONLY is more than $3,000.

Stick with the stock tire sizes. Many of us have experiemented with larger widths and have come back to stock sizes.

"Ever volunteer?"

You sir, are no George Carlin.
Yeah, some of us DO volunteer. AND, we donate money to worthy causes. And, we work hard. Long hours. And we have a hobby. An avocation. A passion that helps us decompress, enjoy the life and good health that we are blessed with. Who are you to tell us that we should spend our money on diamond rings rather than light weight wheels? How about you spend your money on what you want to spend it on and we'll do the same?
George Carlin would say "mind your own F**king business."
