I admit I'm biased. My solution is found under the " Triple Airflow to the Intercooler" ducting kit found in the Powertrain/ Improvements section.
I'll bet it would work GREAT combined w/ your baffles!

I'll post a couple of photos. DISCLAIMER: this was popped out of the mould, rough cut, and set on a roof for this photo. It is not polished, finish cut, or anything... this is not what you will get. Shown only to satisfy your curiosity.

Note the wide flats on each side of the Mohawk: plenty of surface area for an industrial adhesive to grab tight.

If I'm going to have this blended, what's the purpose of CF? I'd much rather have kevlar or fiberglass and not have to pay the "CF tax."

It looks like the factory mohawk in shape. It even looks wide enough to fit over the 07 and 08 S 220's opening. Is it really necessary to remove the inlet?

The inlet is restrictive, it is easy to remove and can be put back in place if you really wanted to. I'll post pix of this later.

i bet it would stay on with 3m double sided adhesive actually. Looks like it has a good surface to bond to.

Or velcro, then it can be used as a snow sled in winter when the car's inactive, the CF looks hard enough.

regarding this option versus getting some low cost 240 FRP roof... you will regret saving what ever it is one can save. Even though I've heard the stock pieces make noise and dont fit well, leak water and all that, the lower cost FRP alternatives will be noticeably worse, especially for a roof.

The more I look at this the more I am wondering if another design would be simpler...

Rather than having the two edges that taper out (on each side of the mohawk), wouldn't it have been cleaner and easier to install if it didn't have those and, instead, had a solid piece connecting the sides at the front (the inlet from where it meets the windshield header). This area could (theoretically) be where it is attached to the roof via double sided tape. The bottom that I am thinking of could extend to the stock inlet creating a base and stop there. The top of the mohawk in back of the roof could then be taped to the roof at its bottom.

This way, they could easily be added and removed and be sold pre-painted just like some are doing with consoles and other pieces here on the forum. I just don't understand making it out of cf. It is hard to envision anyone leaving this mohawk unpainted since the cf pattern ends at the end of the roof and doesn't extend down the hatch.

The version shown in the photo... that's a 2009 Exige ... will be bonded to your OEM roof panel. It does not affect removability of your roof panel.

To be clear: stock roof is used, and can be either: 1) Elise roof, 2) Exige roof, 3) Exige S roof.

The Mohawk is installed with an industrial adhesive, or alternatively with an industrial double-sided tape in conjunction with four pop rivets - one at each corner for peel strength.

Optionally, you can cut out your restrictive OEM roof duct with the included template, before bonding the rls Mohawk to your roof.
Thanks.

Some have mentioned a full fiberglass roof like the cup or 240S roof. Can you tell me where such a roof is available? My understanding is that Lotus gets about $4k for the 240S roof. I am going to paint my roof and don't need to shed any more weight, so fiberglas will work.

Thanx

Jerry
