Certainly nothing against the noobs looking to make a buck. But please keep in mind the long term members who have built and supported the community long term. The guys that where there yesterday and will be there tomorrow, and have a little "sponsor" tag by their name and a banner ad at the top of the page indicating such. (or maybe even click on their name and view other posts, and see if they have ever made a post not just trying to sell you something)

No I don't sell brake lines, but if you click the sponsors link at the bottom of the page, there are plenty of members that probably do

that's a regular non sale, non group buy price. I can't speak for them but I'm sure that if selling 10 sets they would gladly knock a couple $$$ off. I've seen both of those vendors offer sales and group buys. Anyone can look up a current vendors price and undercut them by $10 if they sell 10 sets. I have a guy that follows me around here if I ever offer a price on paint protection film and does the same thing. With over 200 posts I don't think one has ever not been shilling his wares or trying to insult or undercut another member. He also did it to a current member selling HID's and even used that members testimonials as his own. It gets old.

Well the people you're talking about aren't us. So please keep the negative commentary to yourself.

Way to jack a thread.

After speaking with SobeLotus for an hour this morning, we saw there was a need for lines, so we are providing them to whoever might need them.

We don't necessarily agree with other vendor's prices, but you don't see us making negative commentary on their For Sale threads.

Go read my post again. What was negative? What was untrue? I even said I have nothing against a guy trying to make a buck. There will probably be another noob here next week to undercut your price by $10 if he sells 10.
I was just saying, it gets old after awhile. Don't worry. You'll make the group buy. All you have to do is be 50 cents cheaper than long standing members who has offered support to the community, sponsored races, events, open houses, drives etc, and you'll sell stuff. I didn't knock your price at all.

Oh yeah?

Looks like 10% of your posts are a negative comment in another for sale thread.
Just sayin.

We don't need to sell 10 sets to get the price.

We don't need to sell even one, since this product is not even available from Technafit.

We need 10 sets so that Technafit will produce them. We would like to sell lines made by Technafit because they are high quality and made in the USA by someone we deal with on a personal level. Hence, we spoke to Stuart this morning after hearing the news about exploding brake lines at the track.

We are not here to get into internet forum bickering. If people want the lines, please post your reply.

We made a comment on the QUALITY of the product, not the PRICE. It turns out we were completely WRONG about the quality, and the discussion about the product continued.

We did not call repeatedly call the vendor a "noob" nor did we use poke icons.

If you have an opinion about the QUALITY of Technafit lines, please voice it.

However, we firmly believe that the Lotus community will benefit from having Technafit lines available to them.

Again, if you want the lines, please post a reply here.

What are the benefits? My loose understanding is that the stock lines have too much elasticity giving a loose pedal feel, and these having little elasticity, give a firmer feel. Is that accurate? Any other benefits?

The stock lines are made of an elastic rubber maerial and thus bulge or balloon under high pressure. They also fatigue more rapidly under repeat high pressure and heat cycling. Stainless lines

Stock rubber brake lines are also internally lined with thread to help keep their shape. Stainless lines consist of a similar rubber line surrounded by a braided stainless jacket which maintains the shape of the line much better than OEM.

The only other real benefit is increased durability, unless you like the bling factor

sum it up:
better pedal feel resulting in more accurate braking
last longer than conventional "rubber" lines
and looks cool to boot!!!
