Drove a Tesla today

It was great fun. Weird combination of wicked fast, especially from a standstill (immediate full-on torque!!), and eerie quiet. You can certainly feel the extra weight of the batteries--more understeer and not as nimble--but it really has to be experienced. I don't love my Elise any less, nor would I prefer a Tesla to it, but boy it was fun.

I agree they are all great cars. Next spring when the autocrosses start again I plan to steal a ride in an Elise. I have yet to experience one.

A dealer in Chicago--you could buy it if you want. To quote Ferris Bueller, "If you have the means, I highly recommend it.".

Sorry, I don't know for sure, but I think it's this one:

Tesla Motors - Store Locations - Schedule a Roadster Test Drive in Chicago

Doubt there's more than one...
