Thanks. Skyline is the local backroad around here. Looks like they are going full bore, working on the new tranny... hope they get it working and out soon. Kind of intresting 1/2 ton of battery power. Doesn't make the 2690 pounds look too bad.

Tesla is close and they seem to have deep enough pockets that I think they can pull it off.

What's a car forum going to be like with out exhaust and supercharger discussion threads?? I'm really excited about this car from an environmental and automotive development standpoint, but what sounds are kids going to make when playing with their Hot Wheels cars in another 30yrs.... I don't think it's going to be BRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMM.....pa-pap, pap, pap.... It'll probably be more like.. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....errrrrrrrrrrch...Zzzzzzzzzzz zzzz...errrrrrrrrrrrrch.

Yeah, there is that factor. But on the other end is that instant on torque (and a fair amount of it) that you get from a electric motor.

The torque is not that exciting without any sound to accompany it.

Dunno, I tend to get "tunnel" vision when pushing it a bit. But the other 99% of the time love the sweet sound of going on the 2nd cam (more so with a open intake, header/ sport cat). Or the turbo spooling up and down and exhaust note, on my other car . So yeah it'll be odd / not much fun without that sweet music- or just the wind and tire noise from a electric car.

the Tesla may be this generations Vector. How many of those supercars ever made it to production?
I'm not saying the Tesla is a supercar obviously, but all the promises and nothing to show for it...yet....
makes me think of the Vector in my childhood.
