No. It's once you've already paid for it but before they let you out the door. At that point you can get it for the same price but they'll take the box away, and you can only get brown. If you buy it on a free tax weekend, you have to send the 7 cents to Elon Musk. After all, you didn't have to pay the tax so it's really the same thing. Then after looking forward to it for so long, your favorite toy review site evaluated it, but the wheel fell off half way across the kitchen table. The backup one broke too. You got the version one drive train. They'll mail you a new piece of plastic later on. It's painted with lead paint. If you want to throw it away there is an environmental disposal fee.

Also even if you have prepaid and have been waiting in line for the store to open since 4AM, they will offer it to some guy out of the blue in StarBucks right now with no wait if he wants to pay 50 cents more. You can have yours in 2010.

I got a Nightfall Blue one a few months back. I happened upon it when I was in the grocery store. I didn't even know they had one until I saw it.

It'll fit well with my 340R collection...
