It lacks the traditional sports car experience, but it makes up for it in "futuristic" sports car experience. It's not a car for everybody, nor is the Elise. - which compromises almost everything for the sake of performance. A lot can be said about any product that costs twice as much as it's competitor. If they were actually priced the same, I think quite a number of sports car enthusiasts like us would actually consider one over an Elise. In regular city driving, they perform better than almost everything, while costing only 2 cents a mile to drive.

if it were the same price, it wouldn't be a point to consider, it'd be no contest that i'd want a Tesla... purely for sound and performance reasons. I too love the sound of the engine (if i'm on a track and i'm not like a friggin' police magnet), but given that i drive mine routinely on roads with police, a car which is silent or substantially quieter than normal is worth a lot of fun.
![]() ALthough, I do really like the absence of power steering on the elise... what about the tesla? I think i had a tesla behind me last night on highway 84, coming off skyline blvd into Woodside. |
