WTB Elise - Northeast

Located in New York, prefer to keep it as local as possible.
I have 28k to spend. Curious if anything in my price range. It's either that or an EVO IX.

There have been some very nice cars here lately in the $30,000-$32,000 rqnge. If you're going to let $2-3,000 come between you and a Lotus, you're probably not REALLY a Lotus person, then yeah, get the Evo.

You must be from NYC. Only those from NYC say they are from NY and dont say where in NY. (Just kidding you) NY is a big place.Where in NY are you? If you are upstate you should condsider joining the LOONYs. If you are in the NYC area...you should join the LEO group.

thought I had posted that. I'm actually on Long Island. The reason I'm looking for that price range is because the Lotus was never my first choice (obviously due to the price range). I set a budget on a car and I have already gone over it twice so I'm stopping at 28 (little over 30 after taxes). I have seen a couple elise's under 30k already so if I can find another deal like that, great, otherwise I'll wait for the right evo.

why do you say that? The only thing things that bother me about the evo as opposed to the lotus is the turbo lag, fuel economy and the condition most are in after being used.

If you want a Lotus then you need to expect to go over the $28K budget. Maybe just get the EVO now or wait and save up some more for a Lotus. I think its well worth the wait.

no rush, elise's prices are dropping steadily, especially with the way economy is. I'll wait, evo's are just as hard to find in non-abused form and a dealer that's not marking them way over what they are worth.
