WTT: Porsche 911 w/turbo 13b rx7 motor for Esprit
What is your First & Last name? Jay Gilling
What is your email? the91gvr4@dsmtalk.com What is your City? : Acworth What is your State? : GA What is your Zipcode? : 30101 ----------------------------------------------------- Ad Description: ------------------------------------------------------ Well guys, I think I may try my hand at a Lotus Esprit or possbly older Elan/Europa. For the esprit obviously I'm looking in the 15k range so like a 85 turbo for example. So...pm me or email me any offers. Lets begin. Make: Porsche Model: 911S Targa Year: 1975 Mileage Body: Odometer shows 38k (5 digit odo probably 138k) Mileage Motor: 10,500 Engine: Built 1.3l 13b turbo out of a 1989 Turbo II RX7 Specs Engine built by RX7 dot com: Street port Two piece 3mm apex seals large injectors 650cc/1000cc stock turbo pushing 13 pounds of boost 3" exhaust, Supertrapp muffler two stock Mazda oil coolers Haltech E6k Garrett Liquid to air intercooler with SSQV valve 10,500 Redline Approx 325-350 horse at the crank Approx 9,000 miles on engine Kennedy engineering adapter plate for tranny Car has A/C with 134a (had a leak in a line right by the compressor so it would need to be recharged. Aftermarket cruise control Autopower Rollbar Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() VIDEOS: Down and back video Wide Open Idle This car is very quick and weighs next to nothing. Its kind of a crazy swap but it gets the job done in a vintage chassis that looks great and is faster than a 997 turbo. (Ask me how I know) I'm not a super motivated seller and I can wait for the right car to come along. This one is more than enough fun in the meantime, I just want to see whats out there. PM or call if you are interested. Thanks for the space guys! Jay Last edited by crankwalk; 08-28-2008 at 05:01 PM. |

Am I off base for an Esprit project? I have seen running Esprit for 11k- 15k in Nice shape. I'm looking for either that or possibly one that needs work and I would figure somebody would want a nice, clean, fast 911 for a Esprit thats beat up? Should I be doing this another way? |

What an awesome car! And who would have thought air conditioning. Havent had a chance to see the vids yet, but Im sure its a screamer, as most tuned rotaries are. Would you be willing to sell for cash? Or are you pretty set on trading for an esprit?
