...pity they never bothered driving the caterham they built a few seasons back...

Considering that it takes professional Caterham shops nearly 40hrs to build one, I highly doubt that TG really put it together in 8hrs, the whole thing was faked

yes, well, a professional Caterham shop also takes their time and makes sure that all the bolts make it into the car as well. I think it could have been done in that 8 hours, but i wouldn't be surprised if they had help. Then again it is Top Gear.
