LOG 27 Update - Surprise Speaker!!! - LotusTalk

Through the hard efforts of the LOG Committee, we are proud to announce that Emerson Fittipaldi will be our featured guest speaker for LOG 27 in Snowmass/Aspen August 24-27, 2007.

For those of you who are looking for a little Lotus history lesson. At 25 Emmo was then the youngest champion in F1 history. The combination of the 72D and E's points earnings were enough to gain Team Lotus the 1973 F1 Manufacturers Championship.

In his first full year as Lotus' lead driver in 1971, Fittipaldi finished sixth in the drivers' championship as the team experimented with a new chassis, the Lotus 72. Armed with what was arguably the greatest Formula One design of all time, the Lotus 72D Emmo proved unstoppable in 1972 as he won five of 11 races and easily won the F1 Drivers' Championship from Jackie Stewart by 16 points.

Emmo will be joined by such illuminaries as;

Peter Egan - Road & Track Editor at Large
Alain de Cadenet - Narrator, Driver and TV personality

We hope this gets you to trek out to Colorado for this event!

COOL!!!!! What day will he be speaking? I was debating whether to stick around for the Sunday banquet or not, but wouldn't want to miss this.

Good question, he is not the featured speaker, that is Alain de Cadenet for Sat. night. Emmo will be aronnd likely the whole event as well, not just a spot appearance.
Once I know for sure I will post it.
