The GGLC is inviting Lotus enthusiasts to a Run & BBQ on June 20th - Saturday.

Start will be at Santana Row. We'll depart from there, find some fun roads and end in Danville for a BBQ (tons of food).

Please RSVP by sending an email to partner-at-gglotus.org and indicate how many will be attending the BBQ.

Cheers,

If all goes according to plan I should be there with another British car. Glad you aren't taking off till 10:30. Gives me some time to get there from the city.

What's the ETA at Danville? We would love to meet the group there, if possible.

The fun begins in Danville around 1 PM. But that's Lotus time .
Remember to please RSVP to Mel (via the gglotus.org site) or post here if you plan to be there for the BBQ.

GGLC Run from Santana Row to Danville

Jen and I will be leading the drive from Santana Row.

The Event: Lotus Run from SR to Danville—including a drive along the Calaveras reservoir and a winery stop in Livermore before arriving at Mel and Darlene’s place in Danville for a great BBQ. Rob & Jen will lead the run.

Description: The road along the reservoir is good, albeit narrow, with plenty of switchbacks, and there is little or no loose gravel. There are about 200 turns along the 20-mile drive from the Milpitas area to I-680/Rt 84—most are concentrated in the 10 miles along the reservoir. After skirting the reservoir, we will follow Rt. 84 into Livermore for a brief winery stop and finally connect to Collier Canyon Road, Highland Ave and Tassajara/Sycamore Valley Rd into Danville. Total run length is ~55 miles.

Start Time and Place: Saturday, June 20th. We want to leave ~ 10:30 AM from SR.

As GGLC Prez I'll be leading the monthly GGlC meeting hosted this month at Mel's

If you get lost call me at 408.725.4243. it will ring through to my cell - Rob & Jen.

P.S. Thanks Joel for last year's route.

Looks like I'm solo... I'll try to bring the Elan down to Santana Row, but then have to get back home for a quick chore, but will meet the group in Danville (with the Elise?).

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

One more attraction for Saturday

I just saw that Saturday and Sunday (20/21st) are Danville's Art Fair spewed across the downtown area. In years past it has been a good event but could prove to be costly if you like art...
It looks like we'll have a good crowd this year. Also, my weather-mojo seems to be working this year as temps are predicted in th 78-80F range.

Mel's place is far enough away from the Art Fair that it won't get interfere with our drive!

Depending on how late the BBQ goes, I may swing by my favorite car museum, Blackhawk. Anyone living in NorCal owes it to themselves to go there.

+1 -- Yes, indeed, a must see when you are in the area. The museum is open 'till 5 PM, and it is about 5 miles from Mel's place. We will pass right by it on the way to the BBQ if you are participating in the run.
