Forcedfed Shipping Problems?
I ordered another cf front splitter for my elise, as the last one was mercilessly torn off when driving back down an unpaved and snowed out route 66. I ordered it on December 22nd, and have not received any phone calls back or emails, nevertheless the splitter. You'd think it would get here sooner seeing as I live in California. The email i received does not include any tracking # so that doesn't help either. Any suggestions?

I don't ever expect anything in a rush around the holiday times. Most people have things going on- then the shipping channels are all blocked up too.
If you ordered on the 22nd it would be realistic to not be able to ship to around the third. Even though we have businesses some of us do have family's, friends, etc too. And the holiday rush in orders easily overwhelms an already full schedule. I know I'm still catching up on some of my orders placed in the holiday time, been working to twelve or one on clock nearly every night. |

I ordered a quick release hub from ForcedFed and it took almost 1.5 months to receive it. They called back once - I was promised a call back multiple times. Emails regarding order status were NEVER returned. I finally received a shipment, and it was a part they don't even stock. Took two calls and finally a post here on LT to finally get a return tag.
To ForcedFed's credit, the salespeople were always nice. But in the end, FF didn't really care that I had to call them eight times and send 4 emails and go through the hassle of returning the item and canceling the order. For a relatively simple part, it was aggrevating and I doubt I will ever order from them again. I ended up ordering directly from ForcedFed's vendor - I received the part in less than a week. I've ordered from SweetDaddyD a few times and I can't say enough about how great he is to deal with - Professional, quick and honest.

Forcedfed has stated a few times on this forum that the front splitter is very often back-ordered.
Though I don't know the exact situation with yours.

Yes we have had issues keeping up with demand on the splitter, I warned about this when we placed them on sale as ask by this forum, and I stated then they are sold out all the time.
We are working hard with the manufacture to increase the volume. Our deal with them was 5 units per week and that work well for a lond time. If your order is delayed we are sorry and are working on it. As for not picking up the phone. We are in the office 9am to 6pm PST M-F we pick up the phone when it rings during this time. If we do not, you called when we are closed sorry we missed you. As for the hub we had a problem with the manufacture who did not pick up "their" phone during their business hours for weeks nor did we get a response from our emails too. We were told by them it was out of stock when we did hear back. This item we did stock at one time, but does not sell well and is no longer stocked by us. We are a small company that offers good service and products, and yes at times we drop the ball in the eyes of our customers. We will do our best to correct the issues and learn from this for the future. Happy motoring |

We stated that it was on back order (up front) when a member ask us to offer it on sale.
We stated it many times. We get orders for them everyday and still are on a back order for all orders placed today. We hope to be up to date on orders by the end of Febuary. Again we are sorry for the delays. John Last edited by Forcedfed : 01-27-2009 at 01:51 PM. |

....as a fellow 'small business owner' i can only ask you guys to have a bit of patience. I realise that sometimes it is aggravating to have to wait an extended period of time, but it is frequently out of our control. Having read Forcedfeds replies, it seems that they are trying to do their best to resolve any outstanding situations. Try and understand that regardless of the occasional slip-up, it would be far worse if companies like theirs did not exist. We all love the same marque...help out the companies that make the experience of ownership all the more fun.

Andrew, Your splitter is in transit scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. The last splitter on backorder went out today to Tuvett Lawson. If you have a splitter on order and have not received it please let me know and I will look into and update you with the status. Thanks, Dale |

The reason the delivery of the splitters have been lte was caused by our manufacturer not keeping up with their promised ETA.
Sorry for all of the inconvenience.
