Never actually owned a GM, but I do respect people with a passion for collecting and or Restoring cars. and that is a beautiful collection.

A lot of time, money and love went into that garage.

don't get it

I just don't understand the concept. 3 or 4 cars that you drive frequently. maybe. What is the point of so many garage queens? Cars are made to be driven not displayed, IMHO.

This makes as much sense as a 30,000 sq. foot home.

I guess I will never have that much money so I wouldn't understand.

By the way, I drive my elise everyday and do own a dirt track race car.

Very cool. Hope he gets to enjoy some of them by actually driving them. Pretty awesome to have a hydroplane and the hauler for it in your collection.

I call Shenanigans on a 60's car pulling wheelstands from the factory. I want proof. I can't imagine a 60s car having the suspension, traction and tires out of the factory to pull it off even if it had the power. In a light car (which I don't think anything American was in the 60's) even with a super low gear ratio you'd need some serious traction. I had well over 600HP in a 70's car with traction bars, subframe connectors, drag shocks, (but only a 3.73 gear) and 10 inch slicks and at best it might get an inch of air under the left front tire- if that. Traction just wasn't there.

Hey Guys,

I haven't posted on this site before, but my mouth dropped when I saw this thread. I happen to have met Rick before, and have toured this garage. It is absolutely amazing. He is the nicest guy you could ever meet. You would probably not believe me what he paid for Miss Budweiser compared to what it is worth. He also has a car, barely visible in one of the pictures, that the only other in existence is owned by GM. The car is literally priceless. GM's not selling there's, and he has the only other one. Crazy. I have been to a few classic car auctions with him, and it is quite something to watch.

Wow, nice collection. But so many of the same type of cars. (old 'vettes and Camaros) I don't get it. It reminds me of a friend of mine that collects British Enfield rifles. He has dozens of them. While making yet another Enfield purchase, I asked him "Why are you buying this one?" He responded, "I don't have that serial number."
