Sits on the dash shelf between the steering wheel and the light/starter switch pannel.

I removed the clip and it now sits in the cubby below the start button.

I'm thinking about bypassing the start button so that the key actually cranks the starter motor, and using the start button with a homelink system...
but, there are a few things above that on the to do list.

I do the same. I am thinking about adding a filler panel with a button to give it a clean install.

Mine mounts perfectly on the passenger visor by the rear view mirror. Yes, I keep address blah blah in the trunk.

I have it clipped to edge of the center storage bin between the seats so it hangs down right above the front of the power outlet. There are many brands and sizes of remotes so it may not work for everyone. I have the small Genie remote with one button that about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide

I wrapped the fuzzy side of some velco tape around the clip on the remote so that it doesnt scratch anything. Only problem is that in my other car it is clipped to the visor and works from about 50 feet away. Since it is so much lower in the Elise and since it points up instead of out the range is only about 20 feet.

I can also clip it to the inside of the small metal cubbyhole that is to the left of the steering wheel, since the velcro prevents scratching.

Hmm, that would be great if a company made a generic transmitter that could easily fit on a keychain and be programmed at will. I'd sport one of those in a heart beat.

I took off the clip and I'm planning on using velcro to attach it to the back of the cubby below the start button panel. It will be out of the way, but easy to reach.

I velcro'd mine to the left side of the steering column. Pretty out of the way there, but I'm afraid one day I'll give it a really good kick.

Hit up home depot! Go look at the Genie intellicode opener. You can add it to any garage door opener and they have a key chain remote with three buttons you can buy to go with it.

Your dancing nanner is dancing almost perfectly in sync with "Under Pressure" by Bowie/Queen. It's very amusing...I like the nanner.

Looking at my row of dancing nanners reminds me of the dancing breasts from a year ago. Anyone remember that? During that time we were all speculating on whether the first Elise would be here in April or May.

I use "Clap On" to open my garage door so I don't need an opener transmitter. Just kidding I use the Cubby under the starter button.

after reviewing all of the answers noted above, I think I'll remove the clip and velcro it to the storage area left of steering wheel...dont want it trashing around while driving.

I have a Skylink 68N mounted in the left cubby mounted vertically on the right. Slides in and out of the holder easily if need be. You can check them out here... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

or at the manufacturers web site.... http://www.skylinknet.com/cgi-bin/pr...8-1_U?p_loc=us
