I went to LOG 26 and 27 and had an absolute blast. Learned a lot and had an opportunity to enjoy other cars and their owners with similar interests. It's even a fun event for spouses, and I can't say that about most local car gatherings. Indy was not in the budget, but I will be at LOG 29. The Birmingham venue has a great reputation and sounds like one not to be missed.

I'm looking forward to going, just got back from LOG 28, and I had a great time.

While the Barber Motorsports park sounds like an amazing location, a 4K mile round trip is not in the cards for me (CA to AL). Maybe swap from east of the Mississippi to west of the Mississippi each year? I loved LOG in CO & will go back next time it's within a couple day's drive. Just a thought. Carry on.

There's talk that the Vegas chapter is interested in hosting a future LOG. Someone from Golden Gate Lotus Club should put in a proposal to Lotus Limited to host soon. I'd drive from Atlanta to San Francisco!

There is still time to put in a proposal for LOG 30.

Actually anyone interested in becoming involved with a Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG) should contact any member of the Lotus Ltd board. There are plenty of opportunities for helping out with LOG in both its organization and execution. Sponsorship (financial & merchandise) opportunities abound. There is plenty of work to go around.

I invite anyone interested in future LOGs to send me a private message.

Does any one know about the vintage racing during LOG29 ? Is this an event run by SVRA or others that happens to coincide with LOG or some other affair specificc to LOG29 ?

It will be a separate event sanctioned by one of the vintage racing bodies (more details to follow) but will feature a Lotus only race. It will occur along side LOG 29 at the track and your LOG registration will get you access to all the racing.

Thanks Mick -

So this format will be similar to SVRA Road Atlanta in 2006 ? meaning full docket of racing with a lotus only feature race on Sat/Sunday ? Will you could you all try to integrate the vintage racing guys into the event ? Might be cool to have a lotus paddock, maybe even supplement with museum cars . After 20 years of lotus ownership and racing I might actually make my first LOG....

Yes, the vintage racing will be going on all weekend with a Lotus-only race slipped in at some point.

Not into the LOG events per se, but you'll be around the racing all weekend as a lot of the LOG events take place at Barber Motorsports Park.

The concourse on Saturday will probably be the largest gathering of Lotus street and race cars in North America ever. The Barber museum by itself has 48 Lotus race cars and then consider the hundreds that come from all over America for LOG.

What Vintage group will be racing that weekend? I checked the HSR and the SVRA site and didn't see it on their schedule?

Sorry for the question, but I am looking at the site, and I can't see the forms yet, what ballpark $ would we be looking at to join the full event?
