The Event Schedule, Registration Form and Tech Inspection forms should be up on the website soon.

Assuming you're already a Lotus Limited member, the cost for everything (5 days of Lotus insanity) would be approximately $635.

That price includes:
  • LOG 29 attendance fee
  • Mercedes Benz Museum Tour
  • Go-kart racing
  • Thursday's Road&Track reception featuring Peter Egan with snacks
  • Talladega Super Speedway high speed laps, Museum Tour and lunch
  • Friday evening reception with Lotus Cars USA presentation (what could it be??? I bet it rhymes with Schmevora)
  • Saturday's concourse, including lunch and two tickets to a weekend of vintage racing at the Barber Motorsports Park
  • Barber Museum Lotus Collection Guided Tour
  • Scenic Drives
  • Saturday evening banquet (beef, chicken or veggie choices) with presentations from Lotus and three veteran Lotus racing drivers
  • A massive autocross
  • Sunday evening banquet
  • Car control clinic
  • Monday's track day at the incredible Barber Motorsports Park including breakfast and lunch
Extras would be your lodging and any LOG 29 apparel, posters, books, videos, models, vendor goodies and other great Lotus swag that you'll be tempted to purchase.

Easy! Go to Lotus, Ltd. - North America's Largest Lotus Car Club Even if you're not a member, you can sign up right on the registration form.

Even if you don't make it to the next LOG, the club's magazine, Lotus ReMarque, is worth the cost of membership!

Would I have to register for all of the activities or could I just sign up for a few of them? I'm trying to come up with a good budgetary quote for the woman-in-charge as well as put in for the right amount of vacation.

Absolutely. When you register you only sign up and pay for those events that you want to participate in.

Mick neglects to mention that LOG HQ fronts one of the biggest malls in the area. Make sure you keep all the Significant Other's credit cards with YOU. (In the name of Lightness!)

BTW, the NYC club (LEO, in my Sig) will surely have a Lotus Caravan going to and from Birmingham. Anyone is welcomed to tag along, just send me a PM. (There is safety in numbers! Plus, it's fun. )

I'm definitely going. I drove the Elise down to Estero, Florida as we've purchased a winter residence there. I'll be able to use it in winter for a change and I'll fly down in May to pick it up and drive home through Birmingham to attend the LOG. Don't know if anyone will be caravanning up from Florida but I'm up for it if anyone else is interested....p.s. ...Richard P. is vacationing in Florida for Christmas and is staying at our place...Dave

Good question. I found last year's registration form (LOG 28). Basic registration was $75 after that everything else is al la cart:
Friday brunch $11
Saturday lunch (at the car show) $25
Saturday & Sunday Banquets $41-$46
Autocross $30

The saturday banquet was a dress up affair (very popular with the ladies) and had the key note speakers and presentations.

We'll be getting all of the necessary forms up this week so that everyone can register.

Perhaps you can stop by Nashville on the way to B'ham and pick up the Nashvillians.

If you're interested in a brief diversion in Nashville the Lane Motor Musuem is very interesting. They have a collection of unusual European cars like Tatras. They also have a Series 1 Elise on display. No guarantees but I might be able to get a basement tour if there's interest.

Here's a link - Lane Motor Museum - Nashville, TN

Of course if anyone has an interest in a Nissan or Infiniti I can probably arrange that to see them too. I'll probably be driving a 370Z or GT-R to LOG since it looks like my Elise will need to go soon.

I apologize that its taking so long to get the official Event Schedule and Registration forms up on our web site. I know some folks are eager to register for LOG 29. In the mean time, I can email these to anyone who requests them. Just drop me a note at MickOpalak@yahoo.com and I'll get them out to ya. Thanks and I'll see you in Birmingham.
