I don't the range would work good in the mountains there, and your hands will either be on the wheel, or you'll catch up to the lead car when they get stuck behind an SUV.

The Dragon itself is 11 miles with no turns, side streets, driveways or entrances- just 318 turns. So even I can't get lost! I say the lead car when they hit or the turn just waits a bit to the group catches up. I have a Boost (nextell push to talk deal) not that I believe for a second it will work anywhere near the area.

According to Keith, it doesn't sound like we should need them...but if we do, I'll take you up on it. Thanks!!

So far all I've seen here are Randy, Andrea and George and I. We're at Fontana.

Anyone else here ( at the GAP)but staying somewhere else? It's monday night around 10:30, we got in around 10, and Randy and company got in a few minutes after us.

I haven't seen any other Lotus or Tracy's porsche as of yet.

Randys Rossion is very sharp! You guys won't want to miss it. Congrats to Randy, and look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

We had a hot, sweaty, long drive down, were pulled over in tandem by the police ( got off with a warning). Speaking of which. We saw at least four state troopers coming home from the GAP this evening as we were heading in. So I think we'll need to be on the lookout tomorrow.

Hope to see everyone! Stay safe.

By the way, we're staying two nights. So we'll be here tomorrow ( tuesday) as well as part of wednesday. We want to do the Cherohala Skyway/Dragon loop.

We're meeting in the lobby at 8AM....ready to go. Breakfast at 7:30 if anyone is eating.

We arrived at midnight...Todd (Moto44), MickOpack, RichS, Keith (SDD), Andrew (AJP33) and me. We drove through the Dragon at night to get here. I can't get the grin off my face!!!!!!

If anyone is insterested in the route we did yesterday, it was:

Fontana up 28 to the Crossroads of Time
C.o.T. down 129 to the Cherohala Skyway
Cherohala all the way to Tellico Plains
360 north to 411
411 north for about 2 miles
72 east back to 129
Foothills Parkway to 321

(this is when Randy and the others split off and headed home)

Foothills Parkway back down to 129
Dragon back to 28
28 back to Fontana

We were blessed with very little traffic the entire day and courteous rolling chicanes who pulled over and let us by.
