Hello all. My name is Eric and I am a proud new owner of a 2009 lotus elise puritst Manaco White. I'm sorry I can not post pictures as of right now. but tomorrow i will surely post some pictures.

Ive been reading about this car since it came out and just never could afford one, till yesterday. Picked my girl up at lotus of durham. They seriously bent over backwards trying to get this vehicle for me. transported it from Chicago. Thank you Lotus of Durham. you are all the best dealership i dealt with thus far. Anyone in the NC area looking to purchase a Lotus should go there. I look forward to meeting some of you as i get more involved with the forum.

it a little situation here. how do i post pics on the thread without using a URL link? or is that the only way?

WOW, i just finished the break in period of 1000 miles or so. got my first service done and drove for a little bit before i got on it. when i hit that second cam i got this nasty grin on my face. i was so suprised when it kicked it. almost like a turbo, not quite though. it was the most exhilerating thing ive felt. the sound of the engine, AWESOME. im so happy i traded in my speed 3 for the elise. superior performance sports car. love love love it.

one more... who can help me post pics on the thread? i have no idea how to do it. im new to this forum thing.

I too had trouble adding photos.

First, they must be below a minimum size. So you may need to compress them. For Jpeg I think they have to be below 1 Meg.

Next, when you post there is a little area below the post that says "Manage Attachments". Click that button and go from there.

To ensure that it worked, use Preview Post. My first few attempts failed because my photos were too big. If your photos are small enough, the Preview Post will show them.

thank you thank you. i like that picture too. its on my computer as a backround.

Congrats. That's a very cool car. I checked out your car while it was at Fox Valley. For my money, the Purist Edition would be the pick of the bunch right now. Great choice - have fun with it.

No, you don't. In fact for a lot of us, doing that blocks the photos completely (because of blocking software at our work sites). For instance, I can't see the photos in this thread.

To add a picture that is uploaded to LotusTalk, scroll down below the window where you type in the text (as I'm doing no). There is a section titled "Attach Files" - click the "Manage Attachments" button. That brings up a pop-up window that allows you to browse for the files (photos) you want to upload. Select one or more files and click the "Upload" button - when done, close the window. When you are all done, you click the "Submit Reply" (or whatever) button as normal, and the post will appear with the photos at the bottom in the order that they were listed in the "Manage Attachments" window.

You can always go to the extra effort to load you photo to the LotusTalk Gallery and link it from there (I do that with photos that I tend to post in multiple places).

Always remember to size them to something reasonable (I usually make them around 600 pixels wide) before uploading the photos.
