Adding Traction Control
I have a 2006 111R Elise that is DBW. How can I activate the "dormant" TC.
I know it is there but not active as a while ago it was playing up and causing a mysterious misfire when I turned right. This was fixed with a simple ECU reset. I am thinking of using the TC if it is not too difficult to setup. Any wisdom on this issue? (Reposted In general discussion forum)

Contact Allen Strommer with The Lotus Propulsion Laboratories. He is in the Los Angeles area. His email is allen@thelpl.com.
It may require an exchange ECU or an "unlocked" ECU. It is my understanding that the general wiring is there and and required software is also in the original ECU. However, if the ECU doesn't sense the optional switch is installed, it deactivates itself in some manner. The switch is not that expensive. Allen is very good on this sort of thing and should be able to get you going in the right direction. ![]()
