Wow! Hi Mark

do you happen to have more pictures of the Krypton Elise with black rims and the red Elise with white stripes? Those two look killer!

Thanks!

Just got mine today. It's a completely basic SY. No touring or no LSS, just the way I like it. They guys in service were telling me that's the way they would have ordered it too, since I can now get lighter rims for the track and adjustable springs for street/track.

Chotto,

Congratulations!

Mine was invoiced Monday, so it should be here next week! I’m thinking of getting the Lotus guys together for a Breakfast and Drive on the 20th. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM.

Cheers,
Brian

Chotto, Cuylerb -

Congratulations! I've put about 4k on mine and have yet to cross paths with another . Anyone else on this board in the Detroit area and have taken delivery?

I'm definitely interested in a breakfast and drive on the 20th. I hope to hit 1,000 miles and get my service complete ASAP. I'm dying to open it up.

I just realized something, I didn't order the Touring package, but I received the MP72 stereo upgrade. Did I just get lucky or was suppose to get this one?

Very nice, congratulations! I too ordered a basic vehicle. Already planning on Quicksilver exhaust (and maybe stripes).

Also ordering a stock vehicle

I am going with just the basic Elise, no touring or LSS. I like the crank windows and bare aluminum interior.
Might get the hardtop since I have noiced that many owners regret not getting the hardtop, so if I get it and not use it could probably sell it no problem.

I have also seen one member selling his hardtop, because of too much noise, I believe. I agree it looks nicer than the soft-top, but major $$.

Please what ever you do don't ever even dream of putting one of the ugly black car bras on an Elise.

We don't use them at all over here.
If you want a car that looks ugly buy one
don't buy an elise then try and make it look ugly.

I know you've got too much taste to do this which is why you mentioned clear stuff but I just thought I post in case anyone was having a no-taste moment.

Many people use the clear stuff here.
We call it armourfend
see
http://www.armourfend.com/
for details.

My car was only ever made in one colour was I'm waiting till it's in a right mess (soon now) before getting it resprayed.
I'll then get some protection on it.
By then I'll also be able to see where it needs it.

If you're thinking about this for an Elise
you should cover the nose and just infront of the rear wheels as small stones get thrown there by the front ones.

You guys are lucky.
Over here it's a legal requirement to have plates on the front and the back.

My original front plate was on a little bracket on the front splitter.
It lasted 3 days.

They're probably just glued on (it's the lotus way).

Try it, belive me the car will look better without them.
