I agree that house really speaks to me...
BTW what happened to LarryinGA, I wanted to see more pics of your wife enjoying the car. just messingI'm glad this car has made it to the states finally. It is such a passionate drivers car. I remember seeing my first Elise at Donnington Raceway in the UK. It was a Mk1 back in the mid 90's, I loved the look and the whole idea behind Lotus. Light weight requires less power to get the job done. Also you don't need 275/40/17 tires to make the car turn or brake and I've never had a problem with traction either. I'm glad there's such a huge following for Lotus in the states. And with the Elise's pricing a lot more someones can afford to own one. And lets tell those people it costs 150k and you have gone 175mph in it. If they don't know any better, they don't subscribe to Car&Driver or any other car mag.

A Few More
I went for a little drive this morning and looped around through Johnson City. Some guys were working on the feed mill so I stopped to take their picture.

Another NFB in Austin
Randy,
Nice colour that NFB! It is rare in Austin. I have yet to see another NFB in Austin. You should come out to the hill country drives. www.hillcountrydrives.com Next drive is on Sat, April 22. But I will be at the track so I will miss this one. See you around!

I just picked mine up in Northern VA on Saturday. Luckily I had enough time that I was able to take skyline drive on the way home. Here are a couple pictures from the trip home.

Got mine Sunday
I couldn't get the Elise out of my head since I first drove one a month or so ago. So I figured I may as well give in to the urge. As a prior Birkin S3 builder/owner it's nice once again to have something that brings a smile to my face just getting behind the wheel. My thanks to all of you who took the plunge earlier. Your comments were very helpful. I had a great buying experience with Abraham at Lotus of South Bay.
I was originally going with graphite or polar blue but one look at the Chrome orange and I couldn't resist. Mine's an '06 with sport pack, touring pack, traction control, star shield and hard top. Attachment 27761 I'm looking forward to some fun drives. Last edited by pbsaz : 05-06-2006 at 08:48 AM. |
