Talking Hi! New Elise owner.

Hi everyone,

Technically I'm not new here because I've been lurking for a while, but now I'm officially part of the owners club

I bought a 05 Elise from R'elise Me and drove it home today. I'd like to thank him for all his advice and making the transaction very easy.

I'm a pretty amateur car guy, so I apologize in advance for the stupid questions I'm bound to ask on the forum

I live in So Cal, and look forward to meeting some of you at events in the future.

Cory

Welcome!

As for stupid questions, try to do some research before you ask them and you'll be well received. People here don't mind stupid questions, but they do seem to mind lazy questioners. =) Search is your friend.

Congrats on the car, sure you'll love it!

Congrats and welcome aboard!

I envy you CA guys since you can drive your cars right now. It was snowing all day yesterday and looks to do for the most part today. My car is taking refuge in the garage.

Be safe and have fun!

Though the search feature does come in handy, it does not create discussion.
No sensible question is a stupid question.
You're not limited to cars here either.
Different kinda forum.........they have the answers for just about anything.

There's some mighty bright fellers here.
Welcome to the forum.

Have fun with the car. They are quite simple to work on, lots of great information here. Our car has been a great learning tool!

Welcome and congrats from another non-motorhead. Since I got my Elise in august, its hard to say which has absorbed my time and thought more--the car or this forum. Both car and forum hold a danger if you venture in--never getting out! Enjoy!

Welcome Cory,
Search is your friend, but the search on the forum kidda sucks. Use google and type in the topic comma then Lotustalk. You'll find what you're looking for much faster.

Also come join some of our drives. There's a couple you can join. The Marina del Rey drive is on Sundays when the weather permits and if you're not in the mood to drive come and 8:30am and just have coffee with us (no pressure).
Los Angeles Sunday Drive - meet @8:30AM / Leave @9:00AM [PART 2]

Hal also has a drive and so do the San Diego owners.

I also organize a Lotus car owner karting event now and then, along with dinners, charity events and group road trips.
lotuscar.ning.com
join the groups you are interested in and you'll receive emails about the events.

Cheers,
Jacob
