Feature associated with the Toyota gearbox.
No Lift-up collar on Rover engined/gearboxd Elises (Classic grid with Reverse opposite to 5th gear) nor Honda'd ones from the pictures, I'd think.

Those lift-up collars are only on gearboxes where reverse is next to 1st (in the pattern below) and are there to prevent accidental engagement of reverse.
R 1 3 5
2 4 6

When the pattern is like this
1 3 5
2 4 6 R
there is a mechnical interlock that prevents moving from 5 to R but from neutral there is no interlock.

This answer did not help me at all, what springrates do you have? 500lbs front / 600lbs rear ? (and so on... )

And how did yui manange to loose all that wheigt down to 756kg with the heavy honda lump? i have a Honda lump, and mine wheighs in at 850kg with full tank o fuel (32l) without driver.

Immagine how fast my car would be if it had 100kg less to lug arroung with.. Christ, its like gaining another 50hp on top of the nuke i already have.

My car is pretty stock, exept from motorsport arb, and stock wheels with R888's on, stock brakes (for now), no AC, lightwheigt exhaust.

My Stock wheight was 774kg, and current is spot on 850kg. (both incl full tank o'petrol)

Nice Thread,
very interesting modifications you did over a relatively short period of time,
2 years

Keep us posted,
probably the most entertaining & professional thread (here) I followed till now

By the way, are you using a web based translator?
Doesn't seem to work correctly

Hello Shadow

In fact I had not included/understood your question and do not include/understand your word springrates for French like me and my English is not very good

on the suspensions are of Nitron has 400lb front and 500lb rear

After my car is 2002 one of the first Elise S2 also very light origin 785 kg with the Rover engine

it is not equipped of airbag .pas of clim. no the fitted carpet it is the version Race Teak color

washed orange or even the B84 color is a series limited of 2002

Here in Europe and more in England that in France we like them Elise with Honda K20

here on this site you can have more information

Elise Exige Honda engine conversion

then if you want a council removes on the car all this which is useless

me also the weights which I give are with the full of one oil

After I can still gain weight an example the oil tank it is out of steel one can replace it by tank out of aluminium or out of fibre those which are in payment TRUSTED

you have a photograph of your car?

Philippe
