Smile New MN owner here

Hi Folks, I'm new here- but I've been reading for a while. Very nice forum with realy cool enthusiasts.
I just bought an 05 elise with 19K miles from California- I drove it back to MN this week (8 states 2K miles) and now I have to put it up for the winter.
A) The local dealership wants $130 to change the oil and $150 to "look it over". I've got no mechanical aptitude and don't mind paying if you all think that it's worthwhile. The previous owner changed the oil at 18K miles and it now has 21K miles after the roadtrip.
Does anyone know of anyone in MN that is reputable and reliable- and perhaps not as expensive?
Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Where are you located? Maybe we could hook up for a quick less on oil changes and whatnot.

In Plymouth as well, near 55 and 101. Oil you can do yourself pretty easily. There are a few other pointers, like a battery tender for and other winterizing tips that could be useful as well. Shoot me a PM with your info if you'd like,

John
