New from Prince George, BC - LotusTalk

hi just got a 07 ardent red elise with 3000km on it.bought it from a realtor who had it in his garage for 2yrs and only drove it bak and forth to vancouver to get his oil changes.needless to say this car is barely broken in.i really love this car's handling.i drove my friends once and i fell in love instantly which is why i bought one.but there are a couple things which stop this car from being perfect.lack of power is my main thing,see i sold my z4m roadster to buy the elise and coming from the straight six m engine to the four cylinder toyota engine leaves me wanting more so i think i might end up supercharging this engine.hopefully i can get some advice as to the best engine mods on this site.cheers guys

Greetings fellow BCer and Lotus enthusiast. My 'other' home, other than Fort Mac, is in Chilliwack.
If you dont already know, there's a Lotus dealer south of ya called Weissach. Pretty knowledgeable guys there to help ya out.
Also, there is a Canadian forums area via the homepage on this site to chat with the rest of the Canucks. And the rest of the forums on here are at your disposal to search out power options that you're in need of.
The Z4M is a pretty mean machine, but the 0-60 times should be close to that of the Elise though. The Z4 is more car than the Elise in every way (weight, size, power, torque, engine, etc), but I'm thinking they should fair about the same off the line.

thanks man.yeah i know of weissach,in fact i origonally planned on buying an exige off them but they werent giving me a good price for my z4m.but the elise actually came from them and the called me to congratulate me on the purchase.hope to see u on the road soon.at least before the snow falls

looking to buy used lotus elise as dd.....my question (since from review of specs stateside and in vanc they are both same).....why can't i import 1 from the U.S.??
it it 1 of the few - if not the only offshore car imported into n.amer. that cannot cross into canada.
i have written to RIV (gov't agency re imported vehicles) as to why its only 1 on the exclusion list.
