Lotus of course!

A little more detail of what exactly you are looking for might yield better answers.

For street use only, Porsche. But for street use only, the sex appeal of the Elise/Exige is better, more fun, less expensive to buy and run. But the quality of the Porsche is a way better. This is not the goal of the Lotus.

Track, depends how much you want to pay. I really respect a Porsche GT3 with a good driver, but it cost a lot more than my modified Elise. Elise versus Boxter, for sure the Elise.

Do you mean a 356 or 604 HP Carrera GT? vs. an Elise or Esprit?
(why am I even entertaining this?)

A gorilla walked into a bar and ordered a beer. The bartender was amazed to hear the gorilla speak, but brought him a beer anyway.
The gorilla finished the beer and handed the bartender a twenty dollar bill. The bartender just couldn't believe that a gorilla knew anything about money, so he only gave back one dollar in change.
"Hope you enjoyed your beer," he said to the gorilla, "We don't get too many gorillas coming in here."
"At nineteen dollars a beer," said the gorilla, "it's no wonder."
