Thinking about an Elise... Anyone in PA/NJ
I am patiently awaitin the day I can purchase my first lotus ~1 year or so... But before I commit obviously I want to go actually see an elise and check it out. I live about 15 mins from the Allentown/ Bethlehem/ Easton area in PA. I hope I'm not in the wrong by asking this but is anyone willing to show off their elise/ exige for me? I don't want to call up someone who is selling a car an be like "hey I'm not buying but can I come check it out anyay?" I was told by some members here that I should just ask to see someone's car on here.... I'd be willing to drive an hour or so. If anyone is interested please contact me!

We have an pre-owned 2011 Elise that you can drive. I understand you are not ready to buy but I am happy to let you see what the Elise is like.
We are in Hopewell, NJ on Rt 518 between routes 206 and 31. Please give me a call to make an appointment: 609-466-5305. I look forward to hearing from you. Ed Sanson

I would take Ed up his offer at Sports & Specialist Cars.
Ed was absolutely GREAT to deal with and If I was buying another Lotus anytime soon, I would be headed back to them. Their service department is aces too! Sent from AutoGuide.com Free App |

I agree with taking Ed up on his offer. It would be a good way to see what an Elise is like. In the setting of a dealer you can get a better appreciation of what Lotus ownership is like. He may also be able to find the right car for you or let you know if there is a trade or off lease car.
In addition to taking Ed up on his offer consider joining LotusPALS (see signature). We have tons of events during the year and meeting and socializing with other Lotus owners would be a fine way to enter the community.

There's not a whole lot of difference....It will be similar. SC cars will obviously have more power.

Not exactly the best time of year, but when the snow melts I can take you for a ride in my exige.

If you do join LotusPals, you'll see an event called Pals Winter Stress Reliever and if you can wait till March, go to this event and you'll see more Loti than you ever will at a dealer. And the plus is, you'll meet the Lotus owners along with the cars (we are a rare breed and worth meeting).
But never miss the chance of meeting with Ed Sanson! Sports & Specialists is a special place and Ed is a special person (along with Nichole and the rest of the crew!). I look forward to having service done to my Elise 'cause I get to talk and listen to Ed (I bet he cringes when he finds out I'm coming for a service! lol) In regards to the year of the car, there are subtle differences from year to year but the overall experience is just about the same, outrageous! Good luck to you and look forward to meeting you. O LEE O

I'm a little over an hour north of you up by Lake Wallenpaupack. We'll probably meet at some PALS events. Go drive the 2011 Elise. As was mentioned, it's really not that much different from the 05s and 06s.

Talked to Ed earlier today.... I'm going on Thursday to check out the elise he has!! I can't wait! It will be my first lotus test drive I hope I like what he has to offer. I'm going to pick his brain a little bit too about some questions I have. Anybody have pointers on what I should ask?

Oh, too early for me. I was thinking of possibly joining you.
Well, I am sure that Ed will be able to answer all your questions and the Elise will answer all the rest, if you catch my meaning. Good luck to you!
