Alonso in, Raikonnen out !
So it's going to happen, after all. There has been lots of speculation but now it's confirmed.
F1 News > Alonso confirmed by Ferrari So now the question is, where will Kimi land ? For the longest time it seemed as if he was bored with the whole "ordeal" of the F1 circuit (poor baby !) but the past few races he's really come to life and done some great driving. I still think he may jump over to WRC, but who knows ?

Ferrari must be very confident in Felipe's comeback. I wonder how much of the $49 million that Kimi was slated to receive in 2010 he'll get as a parting gift. Maybe he'll drive the Fiat Abarth in their new rally series...I'll miss his mumbling on the podium.

Perhaps Massa is only guaranteed "his seat will be there" when he returns for one race or less.
Who would you judge the better of the two between Kimi and Massa? I would say they are pretty equal and if you are going to pay Kimi anyway ... ... and he was a world champion ... and he would be able to push Alonso, if necessary ... and is Massa 100%? Kimi seemed to be pretty realistic in judging an F1 career. I'll try for a championship, run another year or so, get paid, and retire. Last edited by Uncle Sam : 10-01-2009 at 06:06 PM. Arrgh, I really don't like Alonso, not his attitude nor his race etiquette, and Kimi is a better driver. Man what's going on with F1 these days...
![]() It would be awesome to see Kimi in WRC, although he wouldn't quite be competitive yet. I wonder if the rumors of Loeb trying out F1 are going to amount to anything... |

...kimi's attitude entertains me; i don't care who he drives for as long as he drives, just for the spectacular contrast his indifference brings to the field...

The thing with Kimi is is that some days he is just brilliant and the next race it seems like he just doesn't care. Not sure how well that sat with the management.
I much prefer to see drivers who push all the time for the win - even if, like Lewis in Italy, it all ends up pear shaped! |

Kovaleinen back to Renault? So Kimi races with Hamilton?

I don't see McLaren taking Kimi back.
Kovalainen and Loeb should swap ![]() Loeb is the Schumacher of rallying and has killed interest in the sport, Kovi won the Race of Champions a few years ago.
