Renault should have one for this race. Redbull is still in development. McLaren might have one for this race too. I bet they'll all have them by Monaco.

Yeah but I wonder if they'll be competitive right away . Brawn had a lot more time designing and testing theirs.

Ross presented the problems with the technical regulations to the FIA as soon as the regs were available -- not just the diffuser, but also the front wing. He pretty much said that if they don't address these specific areas of the regulations, I'll be using them. The FIA didn't clarify the regulations, so Ross went ahead with his plans (along with two other teams).

This about says it for Ferrari - season over.

Why? Are they for some reason barred from doing a similar design? I would bet $100 that they have been working on one as Plan B in case the protest fails.

Other teams have stated they were working on a new design, but Ferrari has been saying they have to redesign more than just the diffuser. Sounds like double-speak for why they won't be competitive. They also shuffled some more personnel.

Ferrari has expressed its feelings following Wednesday's FIA announcement stating that the double-diffuser devices of Brawn, Williams and Toyota are legal. Ferrari had been one of four teams to protest the part, but has said that it now must develop its own version.

With rival teams, such as Red Bull, having already admitted that new diffusers are being developed, Ferrari knows the task will not be an easy one, as other key areas in connection with the diffuser must now be recalculated on the F60.

"We are waiting to hear the reasons for which the International Court of Appeal (ICA) rejected the appeal," said team principal Stefano Domenicali "Unfortunately, this decision forces us to intervene on fundamental areas of the car's design in order to be able to compete on an equal footing with some of the teams - from a point of view of the technical regulations - and that will take time and money. We will now double our efforts to get the team back to the highest level of competition."

Nice video with some good close shots of the different diffusers. It is interesting that even though the three teams understood that there was a loophole of sorts, they all have some interesting and different solutions. I wonder how many teams wil incorperate the red bull rear wing endplates as well.

Ferrari and Red Bull have both said that they need a major redesign to incorporate the new diffuser, including things like modifying the chassis and repackaging the transmission.

Knowing Ferrari, they are probably sandbagging
